I really like how you used 'styles'. I do not understand how so many people only study the writings of Fiore, or Lichtenauer, without ever looking to check on what the other one said, when they were both using the same types of weapons, in th same era and in the same context. While there are differences in the way they taught and wrote about their practice and use of the sword, the essential principles of both the Italian and German schools are absolutely identical. I really hate to hear somebody saying 'Well, we study just Lichtenauer and I don't now anything about that Fiore guy' or something along these lines.

I really respect the way you look for the techniques and wisdom of different styles of medieval fighting, be it with polearms or swords.
